16/02/07 - Ich rocke in der diskotek... The weird and wonderful Brian Munich and Drake Scorpio from The Bodybeard Brothers have taken time out from from their complicated playboy lifestyles to furnish us with three hot new mix CD's. In the true Leisure blueprint they feature many different styles of niceness expertly blended into one super funky soundtrack. Taking in the sweetest soul to jungle rollers and everything in between, watch out for giveaways at forthcoming Leisure events.
23/01/07 - Skills to pay the bills... Things are looking busy for the Leisure DJ squadron so far in 2007 with the crew collectively rubbing musical shoulders at shows across the country with folks like Norman Jay, Plan B, Ollie Teeba, A Skillz, MK, Dan Greenpeace, Steady Diggin' Workshop, Boca 45, and the Skylarkin' Sound System. Stay up to date on the gigs page. Release-wise, things are shaping up nicely too with proposed releases early this year from The Leisure Allstars featuring New York's The Good People (which will feature some hella-nice remixes too), part one of a dope 12" remix package, and a very exciting dancefloor smasher from a new signing. It's nearly pay day.
13/01/06 - Leisure Recordings Documentary Not only did 2006 end in style at the Holy Cross New Year's Eve party [featuring the legend Jerry Dammers [The Specials / Two Tone], Boca 45, Rainy But Funky and The Leisure Allstars] it also saw the start of a documentary focusing on Leisure Recordings throughout 2007 which is set to feature interviews with Bristol luminaries such as Geoff Barrow, Boca 45, DJ Derek and Roni Size. Accusations that the film is merely a self-indulgent promotional vehicle for the man leading the project, Brian Munich, have been vehemently denied.
