| 08/05/07 - Summer madness.. Plans are under way for our after party for this years Ashton Court Festival on 14th July. Bristols top spot Native is the venue for the second year running. Those in attendance last year may, or may not, remember Leisure's Tuff Love doing the business in front of a packed, messy but happy dancefloor. This year should be even more stupidererer as we celebrate the launch of our Barbecue Beats compilation CD, with The Leisure Allstars, Mr Benn, The Bodybeard Brothers and Parker all confirmed to DJ on the night, plus MC Dribbla as your inimitable host for the evening. More info on the London launch party coming soon - Vibe Bar, June 28th! And...The Leisure Allstars will be joining the best of Bristols DJ's the night before at Unity, there will more details about that soon, plus Bodybeard Brother Drake Scorpio is dropping an exclusive D&B set at Fly Society at The End in London. |

| 05/04/07 - LEI009 Release date... Part one of our super-nice remix package, featuring reworks of 'Sugar Coated' by Parker from Dr Rubberfunk, and 'Original Love Injection' by The Bodybeard Brothers from Steady Diggin' Workshop, is finally here with a release date April 23rd. Our Leisure Research Unit has submitted information that would suggest both tracks have, thus far, proved highly popular with those who enjoy spending time on the dancefloor. In other news, Mex from Blackgrass was bloody wicked when he joined us at Native in Bristol last Saturday. There were dope tunes, mad skills and dance-offs, and even some drunken, apologetic-style MCing. A perfect Leisure night. Saturday 14th April will see The Leisure Allstars go head to head with Boca 45. Who will be the worst MC? There's only one way to find out... X |
| 27/03/07 - Blackgrass at Western Soul... In joyous celebration of the brilliant Blackgrass remix of forthcoming release 'A Lot To Say' by The Leisure Allstars Feat. The Good People, the man like Mex will be gracing Native in Bristol with his presence this Saturday [31st], bringing with him a hefty sack-load of funkiness in many musical forms. Prepare youself for tired feet and a sore head on Sunday. And.....Mr Benn has just completed his remix for the single and it's guaranteed hotness! Watch this space for release dates. |
| 13/03/07 - German man chainsaws house in two in divorce split A 43-year-old German decided to settle his imminent divorce by chainsawing a family home in two and making off with his half in a forklift truck. Police in the eastern town of Sonneberg said on Friday the trained mason measured the single-storey summer house -- which was some 8 meters (26 feet) long and 6 meters wide -- before chainsawing through the wooden roof and walls. "The man said he was just taking his due," said a police spokesman. "But I don't think his wife was too pleased." After finishing the job, the man picked up his half with the forklift truck and drove to his brother's house where he has since been staying.

| 13/03/07 - Fly Society at The End - Friday 9th March Reports from Rory 'Rory Kinsella' Kinsella from Leisure Recordings indicate that the weekend's party at The End, at which he performed, was "off the hook, yo". The venue was ramadamadingdong, Ollie Teeba dropped science 'like Gallilao dropped da orange' before living up to his Herbaliser rep and blazing up behind the decks, and all present confirm that ASkillz is the nicest man in showbusiness, not to mention a fine discjockey. The Leisure team eventually turned in at 10am before getting up for a nice restorative sit down curry for breakfast a few hours later. |
